CODHASP Director Appointed as New Dean for School of Environment and Design
De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde is pleased to announce the appointment of Ar. Harvey A. Vasquez as Dean for the School of Environment and Design (SED) under the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academics effective First Term of AY 2023-2024.
Ar. Vasquez has been a full-time faculty member for eight years. He was appointed as the Chairperson for the Architecture program from AY 2020-2021 until the present and was the OIC-Dean during the Benilde Online Learning Term (BOLT) AY 2019-2020. He earned his Master of Architecture degree from the University of the Philippines.

As a professional, Ar. Vasquez has 16 years of working experiences from renowned local firms to international offices. He was voted as Luzon Super-region Director of the NCR Sector of the Council of Deans and Heads of Architecture Schools in the Philippines (CODHASP) last June 2022.
He is an active cultural worker and a member of the International Council on Monuments and Sites Philippines (ICOMOS PH). He was also appointed as Heritage Conservation Consultant of the PNR South Long Haul (SLH) Project of China Railway Design Corporation. Furthermore, he continues to participate in the Subcommittee of ICOMOS PH Sustainable Development Goals Working Group and volunteered to be a member of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Sub-committee on Sustainable Development Goals, representing ICOMOS PH. Ar. Vasquez is the principal Architect of Kalamaan Design Studio, which he set up in 2014. Presently one of their projects is the conservation of the architectural heritage of the Abbey of Our Lady of Montserrat-College Chapel of San Beda Manila. Ar. Vasquez is a proponent of the future of Architecture while clearly advocating and respecting the heritage and history of the Philippines. Let us extend our sincere congratulations to Ar. Harvey A.
