Celebratory Echoes in Singapore: Benilde Music Production Students Shine at the 2024 Music Singapore International Competition

In an astounding display of talent and creativity, students from Benilde Music Production Program took center stage at the 2024 Music Singapore International Competition, held from August 13 to 18, 2024.

This prestigious event not only showcased the future of musical brilliance but also highlighted the exceptional mentoring provided by Prof. Ghira Casille. Kyla Lim emerged victorious, clinching the 1st Prize earning her a well-deserved spot at the coveted closing Gala Concert, where she will ardently share her musical journey with an engaged audience.

Not to be outshone, fellow MP student Jasmin Panizales showcased her virtuosity and artistic expression, securing the 2nd Prize. Their accomplishments are testament to the rigorous training and encouragement fostered under the guidance of their passionate mentor, APPMUS Prof. Casille.

Integral to their success was the remarkable partnership with the chairperson of the program Prof. Patrick Frias who served as their pianist and accompanied them throughout the competition.

The competition not only celebrated the students’ hard work but also solidified Benilde’s Music Production Program’s reputation as a nurturing ground for outstanding musical talent. Kayla and Jasmin’s extraordinary achievements serve as an inspiration to their peers and a promise for the vibrant future of contemporary music.
